Easy distance to the medieval village of Bettona (2 km), in the heart of Umbria. Bettona, perched on a hilltop, is one of Umbria’s most enchanting medieval villages, with Etruscan origins, stone walls, narrow alleys and panoramic views stretching across the Umbrian valley to Perugia. In Bettona you will find restaurants, cafés, grocery stores, and local artisan shops.

The villa is within easy reach of Assisi (15 km), Perugia (18 km), Todi (30 km) and Spoleto (40 km), it is ideally situated for families or groups of friends wishing to explore central Italy in style.

 

DESCRIPTION OF THE HOUSE

Built around 1870 by a baron of an ancient Perugian family related to the Barberini counts and Pope Pius IX, Villa Bettona is a splendid three-story residence (approx. 300 sqm), recently renovated with great care by the heirs. The original frescoes and period furnishings have been meticulously restored, preserving the charm of a 19th-century mansion while offering the comfort of a private home.

The interiors are bright and refined, featuring restored frescoes, antique furniture, and carefully chosen decorative details. The atmosphere is both elegant and welcoming, perfect for extended families or groups of friends.

The villa is surrounded by a beautifully maintained and fully enclosed garden with mature trees, manicured lawns, and shaded areas for relaxation.

In a sunny and private position lies the 14 x 6 m swimming pool (depth 1.45 m, open from late May to late September), equipped with comfortable loungers and parasols. Outdoor shower.

A covered pergola provides the ideal setting for al fresco dining. The main outdoor dining table seats 8 and can be joined with an additional table to comfortably seat up to 12 guests, making it perfect for family meals or summer evenings with friends.

A barbecue is available, as well as private parking within the property.

Please note: the stone farmhouse visible in some photos, located just beyond the villa’s garden wall, is vacant and recently restored. It belongs to the same owners and is not inhabited, ensuring complete privacy for guests staying at Villa Bettona.
